We know that the blank requires a verb. There are two verbs among the choices. These are Choice A, purchase, and Choice B, purchases. Choice D, purchasing, can also function as a verb, but it’s in the -ing form and being such, we need a be-veb (am, is, are...) but there is no be-verb in the sentence, so this choice should be ruled out.

Clearly, we have only A and B to choose from.

The word Anyone is an Indefinite Pronoun, and it always follows the Singular Verb. So, the right answer is Choice C, purchases
